Terms of Use
Edition 1.0 of 31 August 2026
This is an English translation of the Russian original, provided for convenience. The language of the Agreement is Russian (clause 1.5). If this translation and the Russian version published at https://unioapp.kz/terms differ in any way, the Russian version prevails.
1. General provisions
1.1. These Terms of Use (the Agreement) govern the use of the Unio mobile application (the Application, the Service), whose rights holder is a private individual, Yernur Kakenov; email address for enquiries: unioappkz@gmail.com (the Rights Holder, we).
1.2. The Rights Holder is a private individual who is neither a sole proprietor nor a legal entity. The Application is provided free of charge; there are no paid features and no in-app purchases (Section 8). Should these circumstances change, the Rights Holder will publish a new edition of the Agreement with new particulars in the manner set out in Section 12.
1.3. The Agreement is a public offer. Registering in the Application means full and unconditional acceptance of its terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Application.
1.4. The processing of personal data is described in a separate document — the Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of this Agreement.
1.5. The language of the Agreement is Russian.
2. Definitions
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|

| Host | A User who created a meetup |
| Participant | A User whose request to join a meetup was approved by the host, or who accepted an invitation |
| Meetup (event) | A real-world event created by a Host in the Application |

| Identity check | Confirmation that the person in the profile photographs is the real owner of the account |
3. What Unio is and what it is not
3.1. Unio is a platform where people create real-world meetups and join meetups created by others.
3.2. The Rights Holder is not the organiser of meetups, does not take part in them and does not control how they are held. Meetups are created and run by Users themselves. The Rights Holder provides the technical means to find a meetup, send a request, agree the details in a chat and leave a review.
3.3. Unio is not a dating application, an escort service, a tour operator, an organiser of public events or an intermediary in settlements.
3.4. Responsibility for the decision to meet another person, and for everything that happens at a meetup, rests with its participants. A completed identity check means that the person in the profile photographs is the real owner of the account; it is not a warranty of their good faith, safety or intentions. Ratings and reviews reflect the opinion of other users, not an assessment by the Rights Holder.
3.5. Safety recommendations. Meet in public places; tell people close to you where you are going and with whom; do not hand over documents, money or confirmation codes to strangers; stop communicating and file a report if anything feels wrong.
4. Registration and account
4.1. Only persons aged 18 and over may use the Application. By registering, you confirm that you have reached the age of 18.
4.2. Registration is possible via Apple, Google or an email address. You undertake to provide accurate information about yourself and to keep it up to date.
4.3. One person — one account. Creating several accounts, transferring an account to another person and using someone else's account are prohibited.
4.4. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and device secure. Report any unauthorised access to unioappkz@gmail.com.
4.5. Profile photographs and the profile itself are reviewed by a moderator. Access to some features of the Service opens after a successful identity check.
5. Rules of conduct and prohibited content
5.1. Zero tolerance
Unio operates a zero-tolerance policy towards objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Posting objectionable content or behaving offensively towards other users leads to removal of the content and blocking of the account — for serious violations, without warning and with no right of restoration.
5.2. The following are prohibited
- Insults, bullying, harassment, threats, incitement of hatred on the grounds of race, nationality, origin, sex, language, religion, beliefs, state of health or any other grounds.
- Sexual harassment, indecent proposals, pornographic and sexually explicit material, and content that exploits sexual themes.
- Any content involving minors that is sexual or exploitative in nature (we report such cases to law enforcement).
- Violence, calls for violence, displays of cruelty, promotion of suicide and self-harm.
- Deception, fraud, pyramid schemes, begging, extortion.
- Drugs, weapons and other goods and services whose circulation is restricted or prohibited by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan; as well as meetups aimed at their sale or use.
- Prostitution and sexual services in any form.
- Advertising, spam, bulk messaging, driving users to third-party services.
- Publishing other people's personal data without their consent, including correspondence, photographs, phone numbers and addresses; filming and distributing material from a meetup without the participants' consent.
- Impersonating another person, an organisation or a representative of the Rights Holder.
- Using other people's photographs and fictitious identities.
- Automated data collection, interference with the operation of the Service, circumvention of technical restrictions, attempts to gain access to other people's accounts.
- Actions that violate the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
5.3. Meetup rules
The Host must describe the meetup accurately: the place, the time, the conditions for taking part and the cost of participation (if any). Changing material conditions after publication requires notifying the participants. Using the Service to collect money without actually holding the meetup is prohibited.
5.4. Ratings and reviews
A review may be left only following a meetup that took place, and only about its participants. Reviews must be based on personal experience. Paid-for, vengeful and irrelevant reviews are removed.
6. Your content
6.1. The content you post remains yours. You are responsible for having the right to post it and for it not infringing the rights of third parties.
6.2. By posting content, you grant the Rights Holder a royalty-free non-exclusive licence to store, reproduce and display it to other users, to the extent necessary for the Service to operate, for as long as the content is posted in the Application. The licence terminates when the content is deleted, except for copies necessary for backups, handling reports and complying with the law, and for depersonalised reviews (see the Privacy Policy, 8.4).
6.3. The Rights Holder is not obliged to pre-screen all content, but is entitled to remove any content that violates Section 5 without prior notice.
7. Moderation, reports and blocking
7.1. Reports. In the Application you can report a user, a meetup, a message, a post or a comment. The report goes to a moderator.
7.2. Response time. We review reports of objectionable content and abusive behaviour and take action — removing the content and/or blocking the offender — within 24 hours of receiving the report.
7.3. Blocking by another user. You can block any user: they will not be able to interact with you in the Application. Blocking requires no explanation.
7.4. Measures against offenders. Depending on the seriousness of the violation: removal of content, rejection of a meetup with a stated reason, taking a published meetup down, restriction of access to features of the Service (freezing the account), deletion of the account with no right of restoration. We inform you in the Application about the measures applied and the reason for them.
7.5. Appeals. If you believe a measure is mistaken, write to unioappkz@gmail.com. We will consider your enquiry and, where it is justified, reverse the measure.
7.6. The Rights Holder is entitled to pass information about violations to law enforcement bodies if a user's actions show signs of an offence.
8. Payment for participation
8.1. Use of the Application is free of charge. There are no in-app purchases and no subscriptions.
8.2. A Host may state a cost of participation in a meetup. Settlements take place directly between users and/or the venue, outside the Application. The Rights Holder does not accept payments, is not a party to settlements, does not act as a payment agent and does not refund amounts paid. Payment disputes are resolved between the parties to them.
9. Intellectual property
9.1. The Application, its source code, design, interfaces, texts, the Unio trade mark and logo belong to the Rights Holder and are protected by law.
9.2. Copying, decompiling or modifying the Application, creating derivative products and using elements of its visual identity without written permission are prohibited, except where expressly permitted by law.
9.3. The Application includes open-source components; their licences are available in the Application: Settings → Open-source licences.
10. Disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability
10.1. The Service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, the absence of errors or the preservation of user content in the event of failures, although we take reasonable measures to that end.
10.2. The Rights Holder is not liable for the actions of users, for the accuracy of information in profiles and meetup descriptions, for whether a meetup takes place, or for events occurring at meetups.
10.3. The liability of the Rights Holder is limited to the extent established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
10.4. The limitations in this Section do not apply to cases of intent or gross negligence on the part of the Rights Holder, or to cases where limitation of liability is prohibited by law.
11. Termination of use
11.1. You may delete your account at any time: Profile → Settings → Delete account. The consequences of deletion are described in the Privacy Policy (8.4).
11.2. The Rights Holder is entitled to terminate or restrict access to the Service in the event of a breach of the Agreement, and to discontinue the Service entirely, having given users advance notice in the Application.
12. Changes to the Agreement
12.1. We are entitled to amend the Agreement. A new edition is published at a permanent address stating the date it takes effect; we notify users in the Application about material changes.
12.2. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means acceptance of them. If you do not accept them, delete your account.
13. Governing law and dispute resolution
13.1. The Agreement is governed by the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
13.2. The parties will seek to settle disputes through negotiation. A claim is to be sent to unioappkz@gmail.com and is considered within 15 business days.
13.3. Disputes that remain unsettled are heard by a court in accordance with the rules of jurisdiction established by the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
14. Special terms for the Application obtained from the App Store
This Section applies to copies of the Application downloaded from the Apple App Store and is included at the request of Apple Inc. In the event of a conflict with the other Sections, this Section prevails.
14.1. The Agreement is concluded between you and the Rights Holder, and not with Apple Inc. The Rights Holder, not Apple, is solely responsible for the Application and its content.
14.2. The Application is licensed, not sold, to you. You are granted a non-transferable licence to use the Application on any Apple device that you own or control, in accordance with the App Store Terms of Service.
14.3. Apple has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to the Application. Please direct all support enquiries to unioappkz@gmail.com.
14.4. In the event of any failure of the Application to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the Application to you (if any). To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple will have no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the Application.
14.5. The Rights Holder, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the Application — including product liability claims, claims of non-compliance with legal requirements, and claims arising under consumer protection and personal data protection requirements.
14.6. The Rights Holder, not Apple, is responsible for the investigation and defence of any third-party claim that the Application infringes intellectual property rights.
14.7. You represent that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. Government embargo or that has been designated by the U.S. Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
14.8. Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement and have the right to enforce it against you directly.
